Julie Gable 

Founder and CEO

Julie, BusinessWhys' founder and CEO, has decades of experience as a leader, change agent, and illuminator across industries, as an executive at Accenture, and most recently, as COO of a tech company with over $30M in annual revenue. In addition to leading consulting engagements, she coaches executive teams, helping them to increase accountability, focus, and traction on strategic goals. 

 

Born and raised in the small mountain town of Los Alamos, New Mexico (think Oppenheimer), Julie loves to be outside in nature, playing tennis, skiing, or hiking with her husband and their two adorable rescue dogs, Solo and Mika. She is also the proud mother of two exceptional young women whose courage and thought-provoking perspectives inspire her daily. 

 

Committed to supporting their community, Julie and her husband, Dieter, are long-time supporters of  local non-profit organizations, including Hospice of the Valley, St. Mary's Foodbank, and the Arizona Center for Nature Conservation (Phoenix Zoo), at which Julie has served as board trustee since 2020. In 2022, Julie was honored to receive the Most Influential Women in AZ - Trailblazer Spotlight Award for creating opportunities for women in tech by AZ Big Media and an Outstanding Women in Business award by Phoenix Business Journal.

Eunice Yu

Senior Consultant

Eunice is a BusinessWhys Senior Consultant with over twenty years of experience helping companies of varying sizes, from Fortune 500 enterprises to startups, to deliver services, optimize processes, and manage complex change initiatives. A respected leader, she has excelled in multiple Director-level positions, guiding teams focused on customer success, program/project management, and service delivery.   

 

When not attending her two kids' sporting events, Eunice, a Bay Area transplant raised in Rockville, Maryland, gardens, rock climbs, and practices yoga. Eunice and her family love traveling and especially enjoy exploring national parks.  

 

Clients and coworkers value the work ethic, attention to detail, and solution-oriented approach Eunice brings to every engagement. Eunice's core commitment to accountability and transparency informs her personal and professional life, benefiting all who know her.

Gyorgi

Senior Consultant

Gyorgyi, a BusinessWhys Senior Consultant, has over twenty years of experience in business analysis, strategic planning, product development, and customer success. At Early Warning Services, she was a member of the core product team that launched Zelle, later leading a team to improve Zelle’s customer credit experience. As a Senior Product Manager at American Express, Gyorgyi led globally distributed teams focused on fraud and risk solutions.  

 

Born and raised in Budapest, Hungary, Gyorgyi attended college in Missouri and later completed her M.B.A. at Northern Arizona University. Gyorgyi is a devoted mother of a sweet, special needs son and teenage daughter. She's also a travel and outdoor enthusiast who seeks adventures of all kinds. 

When not courtside, watching her daughter play competitive volleyball, you might find Gyorgyi volunteering with the National Charity League, on the ski slopes, or at a U2 or Coldplay concert. 

 

Motivated, disciplined, and detail-oriented, Gyorgyi excels at analyzing raw data to illuminate meaningful stories that can help clients make data-driven decisions.  She believes data is a precious, and often untapped, resource that when leveraged effectively can elevate any organization’s game.

Michelle Shilliday 

Senior Consultant

Michelle Shilliday, CPA, MBA, and BusinessWhys Senior Consultant, is a proud "rule follower" who spent decades in financial analysis, reporting, and audit roles at Fortune 100 companies, including American Express and PetSmart, before shifting her focus to compliance consulting.  Michelle loves helping organizations elevate their compliance approach from "box checking" to comprehensive and strategic governance. 

 

A native Arizonan, Michelle enjoys hiking, cooking, Pilates, and travel. She fondly remembers the three years she, her husband, and their two children lived as expats in Switzerland. Michelle also loves volunteering with her teenaged daughter for the National Charity League and visiting her son, who attends Gonzaga University.  

 

A dedicated problem solver, Michelle understands complex frameworks (reporting, regulatory, accounting) and masterfully translates them into clear and concise operational policy/process. Leveraging the BusinessWhys Continuous Compliance Model, Michelle works with our clients to implement processes and standards that support continuous policy development, review, approval, escalation as well as compliance monitoring and training alignment. At BusinessWhys, we believe adopting strong governance programs is the key to making audits feel easier while also elevating customer service and employee engagement. When standards are clear and high, everyone excels.

Miesje Corbo

Marketing and Communications Consultant

Miesje is a BusinessWhys Marketing and Communications Consultant with over a decade of experience helping companies and non-profit organizations elevate their marketing footprint and improve their internal and external communications. As a Marketing Director, Miesje led a team of content developers, social media managers, event planners, and graphics/brand designers. A tireless advocate of improving organizational communication, Miesje enjoys designing and executing communication programs ranging from software implementations to large fundraising initiatives. 

 

Raised in Northern California, Miesje loves hiking, the Sonoran Desert's night sky, and Arizona's slower tempo. When not hoping (sometimes in vain) to hear from one of her four college-aged kids, you can find her volunteering, listening to a podcast, watching a British television show, or walking her Labrador retrievers: Crockett & Tubbs.
